My name is William Jongeward, though I like the sound and brevity of Will Jonge. I am from Southern California, a graduate of UCSD, and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Timor-Leste. After the Peace Corps, I traveled a year around Asia and the Americas, and currently live in New York City. The purpose of this website is to serve as a collection of my photos, stories, and ideas.
I am a service-oriented person; I believe my purpose in life is to make things a little easier and more pleasant for everyone else. I hope to align a career in politics and policy with this goal. Outside of my career aspirations, I find the most joy in activities that stimulate mentally, physically, and socially. In other words, I love learning, doing sports, and hanging out. I have many passions, always more than the day before.
Maybe I can’t be the most interesting person in the world, but I can be one of the most interested. Whether it is by traveling, reading, or talking to strangers at bus stops, I hope I can fill my life with as much understanding of the world as possible. May this site serve as a useful conduit from what I experience, to my personal absractions, to your hopeful enjoyment.
